INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL
OPEN HOUSE 2004-2005
October
is a very important month during which INTERNATIONAL
SCHOOL has several activities which reflect its image.
OPEN HOUSE. As every year,
parents attended kinder and primary OPEN HOUSE to learn more in detail
about the high academic bilingual program and philosophy of
INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL. Before parents went to each class to listen to
their childrenīs teachers, Miss Yvonne, who is the academic advisor and
founder of INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, gave a talk to parents regarding
various important themes which parents should be aware of to reinforce
and help their children at home. These themes were:
-words from an ex-alumni, Gautham P. Nair, to encourage the children to love learning and
investigation to find out their own success in life,.
-avoid watching T.V. which
causes obesity, depression and other problems when children watch T.V.
for a long period of time.
-obesity which is becoming one
of the biggest health problems in young children in the whole world and
as a consequence INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL reinforces
-good nutrition and has one of
the most nutritional cooperatives where soft drinks and junk food are
not sold to their students.
-the danger of video games which
is also a factor of teaching children violence and as well produces the
same effects as watching T.V.
Miss Yvonne also sends
circulars constantly to parents regarding the welfare of children to
construct a better world.
